Rental Rules and Regulations
The person responsible for renting a boat must be familiar with boat operation and safety. A person younger that 26 years old who is unaccompanied may operate a vessel with a motor of 10 horsepower or greater on North Carolina waters only-if he or she completes and passes a boating safety course that is approved by NASBLA and is accepted by the Wildlife Resources Commission. The North Carolina boater safety certification card must be made available upon request.
If there is alcohol on the boat, there must be a designated driver.
Pets are not permitted on rental boats, unless authorized by the dock attendant prior to departure.
The responsible party renting the boat is liable for damage due to misuse, negligence, and loss or damage to equipment. In cases where exceptional abuse is noted, the responsible party may be charged additional cleaning or repair fees.
All boaters are asked to use the long-term parking available in the upper most parking area, above The Landings.
Boaters are asked to observe the 50-foot wake zone when leaving or approaching the dock area.
Boat Rental Rates
Although boat rental pricing includes gas; the rising cost of gas will necessitate an additional surcharge for fuel.
Sandy Beach - 11 person deck boat - $225 / 2 hours
Blue Lake - 11 person deck boat - $225 / 2 hours
Wake/Surf Boat - 16 person deck boat - $250 / hour (includes driver, fuel, tubes, skies, wakeboard)
Tubes & Skis - $20 each Canoes & Kayaks - $20 / hour Paddleboards - $25 / hour
Reservation Procedures
Please call the Boat Office at 828-743-1610 if you would like to reserve a canoe, kayak or paddleboard.
When booking a motor boat online please put your membership number in the title field, and any requests in the note field.
If you would like to reserve a boat during non-business hours please call the boat office.
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. All reservation will be charged after the 24 hour cancelation window has passed.
